Summer/College Student Job?
Summer is coming around and I was looking for another job aside from my current one (grocery store clerk) which pays only 7.75 an hour. I was hoping there would be a job for a student that would pay more than this. So what is a good job for a part time student (full time during fall and spring) that pays decent?
By the way, I dont have much experience, only with working a cash register.

i think the best thing to do is search job sites. sometimes, colleges will have their own site dedicated to job seekers in areas around the campus
if you don’t have much experience besides working a cash register, that is ok. you still have many options, such as being a server or host at a restaurant, or being a sales associate at a department/discount store. if you want to make more money, try being a teller at a bank.
some people like jobs that pay well, but others prefer jobs that they enjoy. for someone your age, money is obviously important, but it’s more important to get a job that is flexible with your schedule. don’t set your standards too high. at this time, apply to as many places that you look interested in and take it from there. that way, you have options to choose from
also, if the job you have will take you back for short periods of time (winter/spring breaks), i would stick with them. some jobs may pay better, but it’s nice to have a job that you know you can always go back to
why don’t you become a part time postal carrier? it starts around 19.oo an hour. go on usps.com and click the link jobs.
I’m working in as a physics lab assistant.
I’m a freshman, working on my undergrad.
The position pays $9/hr and I can work from home if I want.
So in other words….. check if any assistant/intern jobs are hiring
