I’m currently in my junior year at Yale University, majoring in Economics. So yeah, basically I have no marketable skills.

I have no real job experience, although I worked at a law firm for 2 months, but I didn’t do much.

What jobs should I look at? So far I’ve been rejected to the 2 out of 2 I’ve applied to (courthouse internship and Yale Law School data coder.)

Should I try retail? (What’s weird is I’ve asked for a couple of retail applications, and they ask me about my music taste, a picture of me, etc.)

I really have no idea, but I do need to make some money this summer.

Hey all, I posted a similar question recently, but I wanted to add more information about myself so I get more feedback.

I’m a third year at Yale majoring in Economics. My ultimate goal is to go to law school to study corporate law. I need a summer job to make money too though.

So far I’ve applied to 2 law-related jobs; courthouse internship and Yale Law School data coding, but was rejected to both.

I’ve worked at a law firm for 2 months in the summer before, but that’s pretty much my job experience.

So any ideas? I’m having a hard time finding more law-related jobs/internships?

Summer jobs for college student near NYC?

I’m a sophmore in college(so i will be junior this summer), and i need a job for the summer. Nothing under 10/hour, must provide respectable work experience.

I live in NJ close to NYC, willing to work there

Musician(main passion in life. obviously i want music-related work if possible!)
Economics/Psychology major(subject to change)
3.1 GPA(will be higher by summer) at Rutgers
I was IT major in high school, i know basic computer programming, web design, some graphic design with computers.
I’m fluent in russian(since i’m from there and all…)

I hate desk jobs unless they involve CREATIVITY. Working with people would be good but not necessary. I have issues with jobs where i blindly follow orders. Oh and i have LONG hair for a guy. If that matters.

And i have a summer job that pays 9/hour where i do absolutely nothing, so…no low-paying boring high school jobs.

Where to even start? I don’t even know what the hell i want to do for a career so…i’m pretty open to various things

I’m an Environmental and Resources Economics and Finance/Accounting Double Major. Where can I look for good summer jobs or internships? Thanks.
